DESCRIPTION

When Jennifer was diagnosed with cancer, she had fears about being able to keep the house clean, cook meals, and take care of her three children. Jennifer and her husband Jeff describe their life group stepping in and showing love by watching their kids, paying the hospital parking for a year, and finding bags of diapers or paper plates in the mail. Their group also had someone mow their lawn one day and someone in the group started making bracelets to sell in order to raise money for their family's needs. Jennifer and Jeff share how this was the first time they really saw the body of Christ at work.

Use this real-life video illustration in your small group or church gathering to teach on what to do when someone experiences a tragedy and how to meet the tangible needs that person may have.
